This exemption, allowed after Covid to improve the purchasing power of workers, expired on December 31, 2024 due to censure by Michel Barnier’s government, which had postponed this vote in the Senate.
But the Upper House took up this text as soon as the parliamentary session resumed, approving the measure in the same terms as the National Assembly and calling for an important reform to modernize the food voucher. Food products can be purchased to prepare and not ready to consume.
