It was an altercation that has taken confusing proportions. A Skyst Airlines Company plane carried out an emergency landing in Cedar Rapids, in Iowa in the United States, on Thursday, July 17 at night, after a passenger tried to open one of the rescue doors in full flight, CNN reports.
It all started with a discussion between this passenger and an air host, on the Flight Delta Connection 3612 that linked Omaha with Detroit. The incident occurred around 7 pm local time, said Federal Aviation Administration in a press release. When overcoming, the passenger in question tried to open a rescue exit.

The passenger could not open the door and the plane landed softly and rolled to the boarding door. A video posted on the social networks of a passenger shows the police escorting a man outside the plane, with his hands tied on the back.
Police accused Mario Nikprelaj, 23, from Nebraska, five positions, whose threatening and stampede of an air host, public order disorder, as well as two positions linked to the 41 Alprazolam tablets, better known as Xanax, which he had on him.
He appeared before the court on Friday, where a judge established his deposit at $ 10,000. It was not immediately specified if he had a lawyer.
“Skywest does not have tolerance to rebel behavior, the security of our clients and our teams is our absolute priority,” said the airline in a statement.
Since the beginning of the year, more than 870 rebel passengers on airplanes in the United States have been reported, according to FAA data. Potential sanctions include prison terms, fines and travel restrictions.
