To respond to this demographic challenge, in 2019 Seguros de Retiro created the VIVA Lab cluster, which is an innovation accelerator in the field of healthy aging, active aging in health, and prevention. The cluster now works in partnership with various players such as Banque des Territoires, France Active, MSA, but also Agirc-Arrco.
The objective of VIVA Lab is, therefore, to support young and innovative companies that work around technological, service or technical solutions; And they have already proven their worth.
A great economic challenge
Through its activity, VIVA Lab wishes to promote solutions and innovations with a strong social impact, capable of concretely responding to the expectations and new uses of the elderly today and tomorrow.
However, beyond these social challenges, autonomy and aging also represent a great economic challenge. If those over 65 with loss of mobility tend to consume less, the more connected seniors will tend to maintain a stronger social bond and a high level of spending.
In France, while almost one in ten inhabitants is already 75 years of age or older, issues related to the demographic transition are becoming very strategic issues, both from a social point of view to support this demographic aging in the best conditions, as well as from a purely economic point of view.
