Questioned by RTL, the actor spoke about his mourning and the loneliness he feels since the disappearance of Alain Delon. “Grief takes time, things fall into place, naturally, there are ups and downs. It is never easy,” he says.
“I am an orphan, I have no one left (…) All the people who built my life, who made me what I am, are no longer there (…) It takes time to get used to all that. ”, he adds to RTL.
“People have not forgotten it”
Anthony Delon also said he was very moved by the tributes paid to his father around the world after his death and by the many fans gathered in front of the actor’s residence in Douchy on the day of his death.
“The presence of these people in Douchy was something very moving, it is true,” he confided. “But I realized that after his disappearance, on an international level, it was like an explosion”
“Because it’s been a long time since he’s been on tour, I think people… They haven’t forgotten him… But they were a little bit inactive, and suddenly there was an explosion and they said to themselves: ‘We lost Delon!’ ! They realized what an icon he had disappeared, what a great actor he was and who retired,” continues Anthony Delon.
To perpetuate his father’s memory, Anthony Delon hopes that the actor’s residence in Douchy can “live on, in one form or another.” “It was not one of his wishes that it not become a public place,” says the actor.
