Aya Nakamura sells 240,000 tickets for her first three concerts at the Stade de France

Aya Nakamura achieved the feat of selling 240,000 seats for her three concerts at the Stade de France next May. Tickets sold out as soon as they went on sale.

Aya Nakamura, the most listened to French-speaking singer in the world, closed on Friday the sale of some 240,000 seats for her three concerts at the Stade de France next May, a first for an artist who follows in the footsteps of other female stars such as Mylène Farmer.

The interpreter of Djadja AND Pookie must set foot in the lair of Saint-Denis, at the gates of Paris, on May 29, 30 and 31.

Tickets for the first two dates were sold out during the pre-sale, which led the Franco-Malian artist to add a third date, also mobbed by fans starting at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.

With this hat-trick scheduled for next spring, Aya Nakamura, who rarely performs on stage, joins the closed circle of female artists scheduled solo at the largest sports venue in France.

In addition to international stars such as Beyoncé or Madonna, Mylène Farmer is so far the only French singer who has performed there, with five concerts scheduled: two in 2009 and three in 2024 to close her tour. Anymoreaccording to the music media Billboard.

A fifth album in preparation

Proof of a success that transcends borders, Aya Nakamura is “ranked in the charts of more than 40 countries” and “her repertoire already exceeds 7 billion listeners worldwide,” said her concert producer Live Nation in a statement.

With his catchy melodies, which oscillate between R’n’B and pop sprinkled with Afro or Caribbean rhythms, the 30-year-old star has found the recipe for creating hits.

He is also preparing the November 21 release of his fifth album, Destinationjust over a year after participating in the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games, in a confrontation with the Republican Guard.

Previously, rumors about his presence had triggered a wave of cyberbullying. Ten identity activists were fined in September in Paris for posting a photo of a banner with racist connotations on social media protesting against their participation.
