Why Dr. Drew Pinsky Cried During Special Forces: The World’s Toughest Ordeal

Special forces: the toughest test in the world turned out to be as brutal as advertised on its opening night, during which viewers saw four celebrities walk out of the competition for two hours. It was a life-changing experience that drove several contestants to breaking point, including Dr. Drew Pinsky, and the TV personality later revealed that she cried about it all.

Dr. Drew Pinsky has been medically removed Special forces: the toughest test in the world due to heatstroke, but her tears didn’t flow due to the situation she was going through. Pinsky told Gossipify what viewers missed during the episode and why he couldn’t help but cry when he heard other celebs about him getting detention without him:

I stayed there for about four hours. I was trying to hydrate myself orally, [but] I just couldn’t get over it. The band had to go out and they were taking this punishment, you know when they were “paying the man” when they were in the water and mud and pipe, I heard it and started crying. I thought I just needed to be with my teammates. I felt them suffer and I needed to be with them. One of the things that we all found so strange, yet amazing, was how quickly this group came together… We were brought together by being traumatized and being together in this experience. And we forgot about each other and just wanted to have this experience together.

It’s amazing to think that in such tough shape as Dr. Drew Pinsky, he couldn’t help but feel sad that he wasn’t running and crawling through the obstacle course with his team. As the former Masked Singer contestant revealed, he bonded hard and fast with his castmates because of what they were going through. This can best be illustrated by an earlier story that Pinsky has shared elsewhere. According to her story about her, singer Mel B confessed that she was traumatized seeing so many white penises during filming.

Special forces: the toughest test in the world it showed the doctor was suffering from a lot of heat exhaustion, but the show didn’t really shed light on how he ended up in this situation. The veteran HLN anchor explained how he became so dehydrated and, perhaps unsurprisingly, it had to do with his desire for his team not to suffer:

They punished us if we didn’t fill up on liquids. And my fluids never filled up because I drank water all the time. And that’s why she didn’t admit it when she needed more water. He didn’t want the group to be punished. So I think I was a little late on that side, but I had no idea how late I was. [on fluids]. Indeed, once in the hospital, it was [took] five liters of IV fluid before I could get up. It was pretty crazy.

Dr. Drew Pinsky has been removed from Special forces: the toughest test in the world but, as mentioned earlier, he wasn’t the only one to get off. Reality TV star Kate Gosselin has been medically retired after suffering a neck injury, as has ‘This Is How We Do It’ singer and pastor Montell Jordan, who reportedly broke his thumb . Celebrity chef Tyler Florence also withdrew during the premiere, voluntarily quitting the competition after seeing the rope challenge.

So if you’re wondering whether it’s worth catching up on the show using a Hulu subscription, it depends on where you are to watch celebrities survive the harshest environments and circumstances. It was definitely a fun start and I’m curious if any celebrities will end up after this rough start. Even some of the more athletic celebrities like the NBA’s Dwight Howard or the NFL’s Danny Amendola seem to struggle a bit, so I’m curious if they’ll make it or end up shedding tears like Dr. Drew Pinsky.

Special forces: the toughest test in the world airs on Fox Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET. It’s one of many new shows set to appear on the 2023 TV schedule, so be sure to check it out and plan for the next few weeks of new content as the new year begins.
