A motion of censure if Michel Barnier uses 49.3
In an article published in Le Monde on November 21, representatives of the New Popular Front stated that “if Michel Barnier imposes his budget by 49.3, our parliamentary groups will present a motion of censure.” A widely possible option, because the Prime Minister assured in mid-November that he will “probably” use this article of the Constitution.
For her part, the leader of the deputies of the national group Marine Le Pen intends to wait for the joint committee to make its decision before deciding whether or not to support a motion of no confidence. This commission must meet in the days following the solemn vote on the budget in the Senate on December 12.
