A number that also admits all other versions of Apple device operating systems, the company decided to number them according to the year of implementation. It gives way to Watchos 26, Macos 26 or iPados 26.

As expected, iOS 26 was the star of this event. “This is the type of project that only occurs once every ten years,” said Craig Federeg, head of Software Engineering at Apple, presenting the successor of iOS 18 as the last important review after iOS 7, in 2013.
IOS 26 brings a new design, inspired by the visos thanks to a new material called “liquid glass” (liquid glass, in French). It offers new customization options to application icons or widgets, with a touch of transparency.
In addition to the home screen, this new design is also present on the lock screen, with the time that can be adapted to the space available in an image and the space scenes that give life to the wallpapers when users move the iPhone with a 3D effect. This new design will not only be present on the iPhone, but also on all other Apple devices.
• New functions with Apple Intelligence
Apple also took advantage of its conference to talk about Apple’s intelligence, remembering that Smarter Siri will not happen immediately. But the company’s company will allow new functions to be offered, including live translation. As the name implies, you can translate the text, as well as the audio, on the march. It is integrated into messages, facetime and telephone applications.
Apple has also introduced some new features in these. The telephone application will offer a new unified interface that will gather favorite, recent and voice messages in the same place. The call filter function will offer information about the person calling to decide whether you want to answer or not.
It will also be possible to filter messages of unknown carriers. The latter will appear in a dedicated folder where users can mark the well -known number, request additional information or delete it. And they will remain silent whenever the user has not accepted them. With Apple Intelligence, iOS 26 will also offer personalized history, as well as the possibility of creating messages in messages.
• Apple’s intelligence arrives at Apple Watch
Apple Intelligence also arrives at Apple Watch. To start, Apple’s AI will offer live translation in messages, in the user’s choice language. This function will only be available in the Apple Watch Series 9 and 10, and the Apple Watch Ultra 2, along with an iPhone with Apple Intelligence.
The main novelty promoted by Apple’s intelligence in Apple watches connected is the training partner (French training partner). “It incorporates user training and history data to generate personalized and motivating analysis during their session,” Apple said in a press release. These analyzes will be based on heart rate, activity rings and other data.
This training partner will manifest through “a dynamic voice.” You can send a personalized breath message when the user begins a race, write down the key moments (the best time per kilometer …) during training or even summarize their statistics and congratulate him for his performance when he finishes a training session. During his conference, Apple also announced some news for its pro vision with Visishes 26. Among them, the widgets that will become space, allowing users to decorate their space with their favorite widgets. For example, they can integrate space photos of their favorite memories or watches with original dials.
Finally, with Macos 26, Apple has announced “the largest update ever made for Spotlight”, its internal research tool. It will now benefit from artificial intelligence, allowing the user, for example, to find documents more easily writing a request.
