To boost users to migrate, Microsoft 365 will stop the updates if you are not in Windows 11

In his desire to force Windows 10 switch to Windows 11, Microsoft will stop the Microsoft 365 updates for those who have not updated the operating system of their computer.

You still don’t want to go to Windows 11 despite the official Windows 10 updates on October 14, 2025. Microsoft wants to change your mind. The company announced that its Microsoft 365 Office Software monitoring, which includes Outlook, Word or PowerPoint and Excel, would not receive updates if the user is still in Windows 10.

As of August 10, 2026 for personal and family offer, novelty will not be added, unless you go to Windows 11.

You can still use the different office tools, but it will no longer benefit from the latest advances and functions.

Microsoft continues with its pressure blows

For the professional world, this will be done in several steps. If it is a monthly subscription, the date of completion of the updates is established for October 13, 2026, while mid -year subscribers have until January 12, 2027.

However, Microsoft insists that security patches will continue to arrive until October 10, 2028.

This announcement with respect to Microsoft 365 is just another example of the pressure that is putting the company in Windows 10 users so that they can finally turn the balancing. But not all users can do it. Some computers do not have sufficient prerequisites. For these, therefore, there is no solution, except to buy a new PC.

A problem that speaks a lot, because it still represents more than 240 million devices worldwide.

Microsoft indicated that users still on Windows 10 after the official end of the service will have to go to payment (for 35 euros by 2026) to claim security patches.

This new “forcing” of the company occurs when Windows 11 has finally exceeded Windows 10 in number of users with a 52% market share against 44.59% for its predecessor.
