After Meta, it is now Linkedin’s turn to use the data of its European users to train its AI. “Starting November 3, 2025, some of your Linkedin data will be used by generative artificial intelligence to improve your experience, unless you reject it in your preferences,” the company specifies in its conditions of use.
Among the data in question we find: publications, comments, search history, videos or actions taken during the job search. However, private messages will not be used. The option was enabled by default.
A box to uncheck
But as the European Union plans, it is possible to oppose it. Internet users have until November 3 to do so. To do this, simply go to your account settings, click on “Preferences and privacy”, then on “Data privacy”, finally on “Data to improve generative AI” and deactivate this last setting.
It is not the first time that a social network uses public data from its European users to train AI models. Since May 27, this is the case for the different Metaplatforms (Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp). Users had one month to object.
