The Wall Street Journal said Friday that “it would defend vigorously” against Donald Trump, who attacked him in defamation after the publication of an article that attributed a letter addressed to the financial and sexual offender Jeffrey Epstein, dating from 2003.
“We have all the confidence in the rigor and precision of our information, and we will vigorously defend ourselves against any legal attack,” said a Dow Jones spokesman, the owner of the Wall Street Journal group, in a statement.
10 dollars of dollars claimed
Donald Trump claims at least $ 10 billion in his defamation complaint filed on Friday against the Wall Street Journal and his boss Rupert Murdoch, after the publication of an article that attributes a health letter addressed to the sexual offender Jeffrey Epstein.
The authors “invented this story to tarnish the reputation and integrity of President Trump, and present it deceptive on a false day,” can be read in the complaint, consulted by AFP.
