A driver hastened a multitude of people in Los Angeles, around 2 in the morning this Saturday, July 19, wounding at least 28 people. Several victims are in a “critical state,” announced the city’s fire service.
The accident occurred near a nightclub, while the driver, according to the first elements of the investigation, lost consciousness aboard his vehicle. “It came at full speed, has lost control of the car,” reports a Western Witness from the scene in Axn News.
“It was madness”
With NBC News, a man, who was present at the establishment, says he heard “a strong detonation”, first thinking of shots.
“It was crazy, there were people everywhere, lying down, unconscious, people who empty their blood,” he added.
The apprehension of the shots returns to another witness interviewed by CBS News. “We listen to a significant noise and we all started to think of shots.”
He continues: “We find it difficult to believe, 20 more seconds, they would have been touched.”
“Everyone started running”
During the accident, the vehicle hit a hot dog post. “(The car) remained caught there,” said AP Maria Medrano, who occupied the pod with her husband. “If that were not the case, I would not be there to tell this story.”
