A car hastened a group of people gathered in front of a nightclub in Los Angeles on Saturday, leaving at least 30 injured, and the driver, fired in the confusion he followed, was accused of voluntary violence, according to the police.
The driver was identified by the Los Angeles Police (LAPD) as Fernando Ramírez, 29, is called and is in a stable state in the hospital, where he underwent surgery. He is currently accused of voluntary violence with a potentially fatal weapon, said Lapd spokesman Rosario Cervantes.
According to the American media, the entrance to the nightclub was denied, located in East Hollywood, just before the facts. The video image exam has established that it is “an intentional act,” said Lapd Ben Fernandes, quoted by Los Angeles Times.
The alleged assault took place on Saturday around 02:00 am (9:00 am GMT). The videos published on social networks have shown panic people in all directions, victims distributed by a stained sidewalk and others crying around. According to other images, the driver was extracted from the vehicle and went through the crowd.
“We have 30 victims”
“When the agents arrived, they discovered that the driver was attacked by the passers -by, and discovered that they had shot him,” police said in a statement. A LAPD spokesman later clarified that the author of the shot was still sought.
“We have 30 victims, 18 women and 12 men in their veins and the beginning of thirty,” said Lapd Commander Lillian Carranza. According to the authorities, seven of the injured are in critical and six in serious condition.
A group of people was aligning to enter the nightclub, near a truck that sold tacos and Valet service, when the car hastened to them, the Los Angeles Firefighters said, Adam Vangerpen, on the ABC News television channel.
“The window for the Valet service and the Tacos truck have been overthrown, and a large number of people were affected by the vehicle,” he said.
“It is a heartbreaking tragedy (…) The hearts of the inhabitants of Los Angeles are with all the victims affected this morning, an in -depth investigation into what happened is underway,” said the mayor of the second largest city in the United States, Karen Bass, in a statement.
At dawn on Saturday, local authorities crawled a car with a bumper and the door in parts was dragged by local authorities against Vermont Hollywood, a concert hall and a nice nightclub, and the ground was covered with debris, said an AFP photographer.
The place organized a reggae and hip-hop music from 10 pm at 2 am, depending on its website. The area where aggression took place near very frequented places such as the Sunset Boulevard and the Paseo de la Fama, the sidewalk decorated with stars that celebrate personalities of the show.
