Saudi Prince Al-Walid Ben Khaled Ben Talal Al-Saud died after 20 years in a coma this Saturday, July 19, announced that his father, Prince Khaled Ben Talal Al-Saoud, in X.
Born in April 1990, he studied at a military school in London. He had undergone a serious traffic accident in 2005 when he was 15 years old and of which he had had serious brain damage and internal hemorrhages, Gulf News reports.
Since then, he had plunged in a coma and received the nickname of “sleeping prince.” In 20 years, he has never been fully aware, despite the significant attention and intervention of American or Spanish specialists.
Three days of funeral
Over the years, the deceased’s family has shared their fight on social networks by publishing photos of Prince Al-Walid Ben Khaled Ben Talal al Saud.
His father had significantly shared photos of him under respiratory assistance. According to the media, the hospital of the “sleeping prince” had become a place of spiritual worship.
The funeral of the Saudi prince began this Sunday, July 20 and will run for three days.
