According to the government spokesman, “12% of the stations throughout the country encounter difficulties in at least one type of fuel, with variability since in the Hauts-de-France region, we reach more than 30% of the stations with difficulties”.

Use “here and there” of strategic stocks

“When necessary, we had to resort here and there to strategic stocks to supply the stations,” acknowledged Olivier Véran.

“We are not in a situation of scarcity,” the government spokesman has insisted on several occasions. “But there are tensions, we can explain them, and we believe that everything has been put on the table to be able to resolve them.”
