Fuel prices continued to rise last week in France. Diesel priced an average of 1.8817 euros per liter, 2.3 cents more than the previous week, unleaded gasoline 95-E10, 1.9265 euros per liter, 0.9 cents more, according to the Ministry’s latest weekly statement. of Energy Transition, with prices as of Friday, September 8.
Diesel inflation, which rose by 3.5 cents last week, is therefore slowing, while petrol inflation is rising at the same rate, once again by 0.9 cents.
Unleaded fuel 95-E10 is thus approaching its highest level of the year, of 1.9358 euros per liter, recorded on April 14. Diesel, for its part, reached 1.9432 euros per liter on January 27, 2023.
This increase is explained by high crude oil prices: a barrel of North Sea Brent rose by $4.5 last week to stand at $90.9 per barrel.
