This “crazy” radar in Moselle was flashing all the time

Dozens of motorists who respected the speed limit were stopped this Monday and Tuesday in Rosbruck (Moselle): a ruling recognized by the prefecture that confirms that fines will not be sent.

A new “crazy” radar in the Moselle. Surely dozens of motorists were surprised last Monday, September 18 and Tuesday, September 19, when they were flashed… while driving at the appropriate speed.

According to France Bleu, this radar was located on the A320 in a sector limited to 110 km/h. “On social media, several motorists expressed their surprise at being accelerated to 90 or 100 km/hour,” the article states.

All vehicles taken as heavy vehicles.

The Prefecture of the Moselle finally recognized a failure in the part that evaluates the volume of vehicles: the one that determines whether the limitation is applied for heavy vehicles, in this case 90 km/h, or 110 km/h for light vehicles. This explains why all vehicles, without distinction, were displayed at the beginning of the week.

Unjustified violations were not referred to the national processing center and therefore motorists should not receive a fine. Otherwise, you will have to dispute the notification received online or by mail.

The radar was put back into operation and monitored to ensure it was working properly again.
