New price hike at the pump. Beginning to rise again at the end of September after several weeks of decline, fuel prices continued to rebound last week, according to a statement from the Ministry of Ecological Transition on Friday, October 7.
In detail, diesel closed the week with an average price of 1.8035 euros per liter, with a rise of 10.78 cents. For its part, the liter of unleaded gasoline 95-E10 is quoted on average 1.5914 euros (+7.3 cents).

By exceeding the threshold of 1.80 euros per liter, diesel returned to a level not seen since the end of August, before the rise to 30 cents of the Government discount on fuel and the entry into force of the discount of 20 cents from TotalEnergies. Similarly, the price of the super SP95-E10 is above its level at the beginning of September.
This rise in fuel prices is part of a rise in the price of a barrel of Brent from the North Sea, which last week reached 92.7 dollars (+6.3 cents), while the OPEC+ countries announced a drop of your next production. It also comes at a time when around 30% of service stations are facing supply difficulties in France due to a strike at the Esso and TotalEnergies refineries.
