On June 1, the Council of State gave the Government two months to define the technical modalities for organizing this technical control, in accordance with a European obligation dating back to 2014 but which was never applied in France.
It will finally be next April when the technical inspection of two-wheeled vehicles will be progressively implemented in France depending on the age of the vehicles, according to a decree published on Tuesday in the Official Gazette, after months of delays to apply a European directive of 2014. .
The first to have to carry out the technical inspection, starting in April and before mid-August or the end of 2024 depending on the date the vehicles are put into circulation, will be those registered before January 1, 2017.
