Yvelines: Renault will create 150 jobs at its Flins headquarters, currently in the process of reconversion

The Flins “Refactory” is now dedicated to reconditioning vehicles.

The car manufacturer Renault announced, on Tuesday, in a press release, the hiring of 150 people at its headquarters in Flins, in the Yvelines, as part of a reconversion towards the circular economy. The Flins “Refactory” is the symbol factory of the group’s ambitions in the circular economy. Of the 1,938 employees, “more than 90%” are now dedicated to vehicle reconditioning, while the plant has been dedicated to automobile assembly since 1952.

During an extraordinary social and economic committee on Tuesday, Renault announced a hiring plan for 150 people “with permanent contracts over the next three years,” according to the statement. These permanent contracts “concern both operators and field managers and engineers. Their objective is to strengthen capabilities to prepare for the future and the arrival of new activities. They witness the dynamic transformation of the Yvelines site” and “the development of circular economy activities”. , summarizes the group.

“New industrial model”

“These permanent contracts will be offered as a priority to temporary workers present on site,” and are part of the “Re-Nouveau France 2025” agreement signed by the representative union organizations CFE-CGC, CFDT and FO in December. 2021, “relating to the anchoring of the group’s industrial activities in France”, it is specified. The “new industrial model” of the Flins plant consists, in particular, of “prolonging the useful life of vehicles”, “producing, storing and managing green energy” and “extending the useful life of certain parts and certain materials”.
