Fuel prices close the year slightly higher

Petrol rose by 1.6 cents and diesel by 0.7 cents before the start of the new year. Consequence of the recent increase in crude oil prices.

Fuel prices showed a slight increase for the last week of 2023.

95-E10 unleaded gasoline rose 1.6 cents to an average of 1.7814 euros per liter in France, while diesel rose 0.7 cents to 1.7492 euros per liter, according to the Transition Ministry’s weekly report Ecological on Friday, December 29.

After experiencing an almost continuous decline from the peak recorded in late September, fuel prices began to rise again in mid-December.

An increase that can be explained by international tensions that favor the increase in oil prices. Crude oil prices began to rise again this Tuesday after new attacks this weekend in the Red Sea. Last week, a barrel of North Sea Brent rose by $0.6, following an increase of $4.1 the previous week.
