In April, sales of electric models that lost access to the ecological bonus last December were dismal. And rightly so, if they had been supported before the end of this aid on December 15 and therefore of deliveries in the following months, the effects of this application of the environmental score in France are now beginning to be observed.
“Made in China” out of the Top 10
This is what we can see in this top 10 best-selling zero-emission models last month, thanks to data provided by NGC Data. A ranking that no longer includes any model produced in China.
However, we will have to wait until fifth place to find a “made in France” model with the Renault Mégane E-tech. The Peugeot e-208 and e-2008 are manufactured in Spain.
The Renault Twingo (Slovenia), whose sales were boosted by government social leasing, came in third place. In fourth place we find the Fiat 500, with an electric version assembled in Italy.
Peugeot, Fiat and Tesla on the podium from January to April
If we look at the ranking from the beginning of the year, we can see that these models assembled in China were still well positioned, before this month of April. The Peugeot e-208 is well ahead of the Fiat 500 and the Tesla Model Y.
Thus we find in this top 10, the Tesla Model 3 and the MG4. The Dacia Spring also held its own at the beginning of the year. Pending its new version launched in September, the small electric car is left out of this ranking, but remains eleventh, with 2,882 units delivered since the beginning of the year.
