The road to or from the vacation is especially quiet. Bison futé recorded approximately 245 kilometers of traffic jams this Saturday, with a peak of 308 kilometers reached at noon. A figure much lower than last Saturday: for this day of mass departures, the decelerations reached almost 485 kilometers at noon and more than 600 kilometers at the end of the afternoon, a level considered exceptional.
This Saturday is considered simply “unusual” on the scale of the traffic measurement tool. Traffic is dense but not very congested, thus respecting Bison futé’s forecasts: this Saturday, December 28, it was classified green at the national level and orange in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, both in the direction of departures and return (with the Region Parisian in orange in this second sense).
The roads most affected at the moment are, as expected, the A43 (64 kilometers of traffic jams), which passes through the Lyon region and the Fréjus tunnel, and the A7 (48 kilometers), which links Lyon and Marseille.
This Sunday, traffic should remain approximately the same: Bison futé announces important returns that could make the Paris region less fluid at the end of the day. It is therefore classified as green at the national level in the sense of departures and returns, except in Île-de-France, where the color orange is announced.
