96% of new cars sold in Norway are now electricity

The country is no longer far from its objective for 2025 of 100% electric cars for new records.

Almost 96% of the new records in Norway were electric cars in January, the Scandinavian country that borders its goal of selling only zero problems this year.

According to the Road Traffic Information Council (OFV), fully electric cars represented 95.8% of new car sales in the kingdom last month. If rechargeable hybrid models are added, the proportion of electrified vehicles was 96.8%.

More electricity than gasoline in the park

Throughout the year 2024, the participation of electricity in the new car records had reached 89%. The country has given a 100% objective of new electric cars in 2025.

Last year, the electric park even exceeded that of thermal times. Of the 2.8 million individual vehicles registered in the Scandinavian country, 754,303 are fully electric against 753,905 that feed gasoline, according to the Road Traffic Information Council.
