Fuels: almost one in three service stations have problems before the discounts fall

The weekend of November 11 and the anticipation of lower discounts contributed to worsen an already tense situation at the end of last week. This Monday, almost one in three stations is at least partially sold out in France.

It is still difficult to refuel in certain regions of France this Monday morning. After a weekend of November 11 in which many motorists hit the road and some anticipated the reduction of the State and TotalEnergies rebates this Wednesday, many service stations face shortages of one or more fuels.

Nearly one in three distressed resorts

This Monday, November 14, the map of the “penurie.mon-essence.fr” site (Essence&Co application) thus showed 2,322 stations in partial breakdown (at least one fuel is missing) and 961 stations in total breakdown, that is, almost 30 % of stations in difficulty out of a total of approximately 11,000 in France. A situation that worsened significantly compared to last Thursday.

Difficulties continue to affect Ile-de-France and the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in particular, but there are also supply tensions near several large cities such as Lille, Strasbourg, Marseille, Nice and Toulouse.
