Energy saving certificates: What help can claim for a car or electrical utility?

Since this year, the automotive sector can benefit from the EEC (energy saving certificates) to benefit from additional assistance for the purchase of an electric car. Which, above all, compensates for the abolition of the bonus of public services.

It is an additional help with the purchase of an electric car. Since this year, the Energy Savings Certificates System (EEC) has been extended to the automotive sector and applies to passenger cars, public services of light and light quadricycles (with or without license).

Renault and Stellantis (the group that has 14 brands such as Peugeot, Fiat, Citroën, Opel and an association with Leapmotor Chinese) are among the first manufacturers to display this device since the end of February. The two companies have chosen to trust Engie through their subsidiary CERTINERGY & Solutions, which has specialized in these EEC for more than 15 years. What makes customers benefit without imposing complex administrative procedures for them, with advanced help by distributors, such as what is done in the ecological bonus.

This financial assistance applies to the purchase of a vehicle, but also to rental offers of more than 24 months, and accumulates with the ecological bonus, all without income conditions.

Symbolic help in passenger cars

An ecological bonus that fell this year, with a minimum help that returned to 2,000 euros, against 4,000 euros before. And both to say that for people, these EEC will not really compensate for this strong decrease in the bonus of this type of vehicle.

The Renault group communicates with help that can reach 310 euros to deduce an individual in the long -term purchase or rental of a private car. This represents just more than 1% of the minimum purchase cost of a R5 currently (25,990 euros, deducting the 2,000 euros bonus). EEC also apply to the other electrical models of the diamond brand, in Alpine A290, but also in Dacia Spring.

For the successor of the Renault Twizy, the small mobilization duo, the aid is 240 euros in the version without a license (sewn at 45 km/h) and 460 euros in the version with a license (up to 80 km/h). A light Quadricycles category that had lost access to the bonus (900 euros) last December.

The return of significant aid in public services

The amounts are much more important for utilitarian vehicles because the bonus in this category had also disappeared since last December.

Renault evokes 2,540 euros to be withdrawn from the purchase of a profit by an individual. The aid, which is 3,350 euros for a company with more than 100 vehicles in its fleet, of 2,250 euros for a community to more than 20 vehicles and finally 4,200 euros for “another legal person”. Stellantis is still much more vague in his press release:

“Depending on the typology of customers (company or enurticulier) and the new 100% electric vehicle (VN or VP), the amount of the premium is established between 300 euros and more than 4,500 euros,” says the group.

Precise amounts, published in an article on Friday Parisino, March 7, which remains close but slightly higher than those shown by Renault. 353 euros, for example, in Stellantis for the purchase of a private car by an individual, against 310 euros in Renault.

“The Renault dealership group has obtained to be paid in EEC EEC operations,” unlike the Stellantis Network, Le Parisien explains, which explains this difference.
