Slight drop in fuel prices before the drop in discounts on Wednesday

The diesel sold on average at 1.802 euros per liter last week, the 95 E10 unleaded at 1.6174 euros per liter.

Fuel prices fell slightly last week in France, while the State and TotalEnergies discounts will drop this Wednesday, November 16.

Diesel was exhibited on average at 1.802 euros per liter, 3 cents less than the previous week and 95 E10 unleaded at 1.6174 euros per liter, registering a drop of 0.5 cents, after the latest price survey by the Ministry for the Ecological Transition, stop on Friday, November 11.

After raising prices since late September, prices at the pump have been falling since mid-October for diesel. For gasoline, despite a slight rebound in early November, prices remain at relatively low levels, with an unleaded 95 E10 selling at its late-2021 price.

This Wednesday, prices will rise mechanically, with the drop in the State discount, from 30 to 10 cents, and the TotalEnergies discount from 20 to 10 cents. Discounts launched from September 1 and whose reduction, initially scheduled for November 1, had been postponed to November 16 in the context of fuel shortages.

A shortage that continues to this day, with motorists trying to take advantage of this maximum discount of 50 cents (combining that of the State and that of TotalEnergies) for the last time since the beginning of the weekend of November 11.
