YESPark Buy Zenpark to win in connected parking leaders

The new French company YESPark has just announced the acquisition of its compatriot and competitor Zenpark. Enough to consolidate two important players in the parking lot for short and long term parking.

These are two French players who managed to dust off the parking market in the main cities. YesPark, founded in 2014, has just announced the acquisition of Zenpark, born in 2012.

Their concept is relatively simple to understand: operate the many parking spaces not used in residential or offices offering them through a website and a mobile application to motorists. A “Meetic of Parking”, as summarized by the three co -founders of YESPark, Thibult Chary, Guillaume Wrobel and Charles Pfister, present at a press conference that announces this purchase operation.

Two complementary actors

Two complementary actors, since YesPark had specialized a lot for long -term rental, more frequently with a monthly rental, where Zenpark is going to the short -term parking lot, from a few hours to the day.

Another similarity: the ability to innovate to allow safe access to parking lots necessarily designed to open up to a broader audience than the inhabitants of a residential building, for example.

“In 2014, everyone was starting to have a smartphone, but it still seemed to be an increase to access a parking lot with their phone, that is what you managed to do,” explains Tibault Chary.

From these beginnings to offer a “connected experience” of parking lots, Yespark also knew how to offer other services such as the installation and management of load stations or video surveillance.

Zenpark has also carried out certain innovations, with particularly a carplay compatible application (the replication of the iPhone on the car screen) that can now benefit from its new owner, YESPARK.

The two conserved brands

The two brands and associated applications or sites will also continue to maintain these specializations that cover quite different applications, between the punctual space and the most regular use.

The YESPark group will pursue these two services, with the aim of quickly duplicating a consolidated turnover of 50 million euros currently.

Which also allows synergies, especially on the rental side. The owners of the parking spaces can more optimize the occupation of their spaces, mixing for example rentals from Monday to Friday and punctual parking on weekends.

With currently 100,000 spaces distributed in almost 6,000 parking lots of 700 cities in three countries, France, Italy and Belgium, the idea also remains to continue this development, with why not the conquest of the new markets in Europe and continue extending the client portfolio to Carshand cars such as Getarrand or the delivery of the last kilometer?

The developments in large cities also explain this ambition, with particular the reduction of roads on roads, the increase in parking prices and the fraud control of formidable efficiency. Underground parking lots are emptying with the demosticization of the inhabitants in the hypercentro, but the need for parking is still important for those who come from abroad. Certain cities like Brussels are also obliged to companies with vacant places to rent them.
