The French automotive market is shown in the net decrease in March. The new car sales fell 14.5% last month to 153,842 units, accelerating the trend registered since the beginning of the year, after a withdrawal of more than 6% in January and almost stagnant in February.
In March, the market returns to its March 2022 level, while it was paralyzed by the scarcity of electronic fleas and the beginning of the war in Ukraine.
Among the French market champions, the Stellantis group (Peugeot, Citroën, Opel, Fiat …) fell by 17%, while Renault and Dacia limit the break with a 1%drop. A Renault group, which is only 10,000 units of Stellantis in the first quarter (109,100 sales against 119,600).
