Fuels: State and TotalEnergies discounts fall, prices rise

From 00:01 the State and TotalEnergies bonuses are revised downwards. Result: mechanical rise in prices at the pump this Wednesday.

The beginning of the end of sales. From 00:01 the State and TotalEnergies bonuses are revised downwards. That of the State has thus fallen from 30 to 10 cents, that of TotalEnergies from 20 to 10 cents. Result: prices at the pump mechanically went up this morning by 30 cents at TotalEnergies and 20 cents everywhere else.

Fuels at more than 2 euros per liter

Specifically, taking the latest average readings from the Carbu.com site, a liter of diesel was trading on Tuesday at 1.85 euros. Adding the 20 State cents, logically we go to an average of 2.05 euros for this Wednesday, November 16. At TotalEnergies stations you will have to add 10 cents more. Which far exceeds the bar of 2 euros per liter.

Same result for the 95 E10 without lead: from 1.69 euros per liter on average yesterday, this Wednesday we went to 1.89 euros without the State discount. If we add the 10 cents from TotalEnergies, we will get close to 2 euros at gas stations.

Next step on January 1

And prices will jump again on January 1, without even taking into account increases in the price of oil or difficulties in the supply of refined products. The discounts will definitely end on this date. The government will then replace them with more specific aid dedicated to large-wheeled vehicles.

According to the latest information known, these aids should affect some 12 million motorists, with an endowment of 1,500 to 1,600 million euros. That is a help that is around 133 euros, the equivalent of two full tanks according to our calculations.
