DS reveals his new “No. 4” with an electric version

DS gives a facial stretch to its DS4. Released in 2021, the second generation of this premium brand of the Stellantis group changes even in the name of the name. Now it will be called “N ° 4”, as the great sedan that is being prepared to launch DS, the “No. 8”.

In the design, No. 4 also occupies elements of its future older sister in the range. Especially at the front level, completely redesigned and more horizontal, with a large black rack very widely extended with an integrated light firm.

It does not really change on the side of the dimensions, with a n ° 4 to 4.40 meters long and a height of 1.47 meters. It only takes 4 centimeters wide, 1.87 meters.

Diesel leaves the catalog

It is especially on the side of the engines that evolves this DS No. 4. The French brand presents it as “the only multiple energy sedan of its segment that offers a complete range of electrified engines.”

The BlueHDI diesel leaves the catalog: the DS4 was the latest model to offer it in DS with the SUV DS7.

The No. 4 retains an automatic hybrid offer of 145 horsepower, with a three -cylinder turbocharger engine of 1.2 liters associated with an electric motor equivalent to 28 horsepower, the latter is integrated directly into the double automatic clutch and the six -speed gearbox, classical architecture in Stellantis.

There is also a rechargeable hybrid version, with a four -cylinder turbo engine of 180 horsepower and an electric motor of 110 horsepower. By combining both, power reaches 225 horsepower.

The integration of a larger battery, 14.6kwh, allows to increase by 30% the electric autonomy announced at 81 kilometers.

A new N ° 4 100% Electric

But the great novelty remains to offer a 100% electric version. This N ° 4 will offer 450 kilometers of autonomy thanks to a 58.3kwh battery.

The power is announced to 213 horsepower with 343 nm of torque. Finally, we can count on a recharge of up to 120KW in the pre -concession of the battery and with three methods of energy recovery in the braking.

There is still no price for this new No. 4 with prices that must be announced in the opening of orders. The current DS4 began just under 40,000 euros in 145 horses of hybrid strength and Bluehdi 130 and just over 43,000 euros in rechargeable hybrid.
