It is still a fairly unknown brand: Vinfast, manufacturer Vietnamese, could soon market a mini SUV in Europe.
A copy of this model was presented, the VF3, this Wednesday, June 4 during the AMAM Media Association (Auto and Motorcycle), which brought together many journalists and those who participated BFM Business and Tech & Co.
A first presentation in France for this model that will be launched in Vietnam. This very small SUV is only 3.19 meters, about forty centimeters less than a Fiat 500, or 54 centimeters less than a spring of Dacia.
A “little sweet on wheels”
An exterior design that remembers the Suzuki Jimny 3 doors, with this pink color to give it a side of “small caramel”, large 18 -inch edges and important protections around the wheels for the adventurous side.

On the performance side: an electric motor in the rear offers a power of 32kw (43 horsepower), with a couple of 110 Nm: enough to go from 0 to 50 km/h in 5.3 seconds.
Therefore, this vehicle is intended for small trips, even if it is not restricted to 45 km/h, such as friend Citroën or the mobilized duo without a license. The maximum speed is, therefore, 100 km/h, with almost 19 seconds to reach it from the stop, a time close to that showing Dacia’s spring with the small 33 kW engine.

On the autonomy side: up to 215 kilometers (according to the old NEDC standard, therefore, a figure to take with some caution), thanks to an LFP (lithium-fer-phosphate) battery of 18.64kwh.
The model still accepts a quick current load to go from 10 to 70% of the battery in 36 minutes thanks to a CCS2 port.
Inside, a lot of space with respect to its compact template, four places and a very symbolic chest of 36 liters. When folding the rear seat, this load volume can be increased to 285 liters.

Inside, the presentation is still very simple, but quite orderly. We point to the essential elements: a 10 -inch touch screen, which we could not turn on during this presentation, serves as a single interface with the controller. There are physical controls to adjust the manual air conditioning, but also a key without hands, a USB type C port and two speakers of the audio system.
At what price?
Present with a stand in the 2022 Auto World Cup, Vinfast showed important ambitions in Europe. But the commercial beginning was obviously more complicated than expected since the brand is changing its distribution model in Europe, as indicated in numeral in early May.
According to the spokesman of Vinfast Europe present with this VF3, there is still no guarantee that this vehicle can be marketed in Europe. The model sold in Vietnam is not an example equipped only with a single air bag and would be much more priori to approve this vehicle in our countries.
Therefore, it is difficult to imagine what price this model could be marketed in France. As an indication, prices currently begin at 240 million Dongs (almost 8,750 euros) in Vietnam, a clean car note, with a rental battery offer, such as Renault did with the zoé before stopping this marketing method.
With the “Inclose” battery, the price remains below 12,000 euros: enough to make it a very competitive potential model in the battle of electric cars to less than 20,000 euros, compared to the Citroën ë-C3 (soon offered under this electrical price) or the future Renault Twingo, Dacia Spring or Volkswagen Id.1.
