Return to school is approaching and, good news, fuel prices are currently at a relatively low level. In the last statement of the Ministry of Ecological Transition, with the prices arrested on August 22, the diesel was on average in France at 1,5,872 euros per liter, no lead gasoline 95-E10 to 1,6762 euros per liter and without lead 98 to 1,7694 euros per liter.
A certain calm when fuel prices have experienced high variations in recent years, as can be seen in the graph below, which traces the evolution of prices since September 2011.

How is the fuel price calculated?
The fuel price not only depends on the barrel, but the calculation is really more complex. Brut Oil represents only about 25% of the rates shown in the service stations.
The price of fuels incorporates other components, such as production cost and routing and, above all, taxes. HE Production and routing costsIf they depend on the cannon course, they are also linked to Refining, storage, transport and distribution costs in service stations.
To this is added taxes taken by the State, which represent almost 60% of the price in the pump. There are two: TUB (up to 20%) and Internal consumption tax on energy products (Ticpe). The amount of the Ticpe is set annually and registered in the Finance Law, a fixed amount whose proportion falls when the price of fuels increases. Nor should we forget Distributors marginswho will also play with fuel prices in the pump.
A very small margin in large distribution brands, which occasionally practice even “expensive” operations, such as Leclerc on Friday 29 and Saturday, August 30. However, a limited economy for the consumer, if it is estimated that the margin is approximately 4 cents per liter, we can expect a reduction of 2 euros in a total of 50 liters. It is always good to take, but neither is enough to make a great detour.
