The French wasted no time in obtaining the new fuel allowance of 100 euros. The Delegate Minister of Public Accounts, Gabriel Attal, revealed that “at noon, in just 3 hours, 250,000 French have already requested it” by connecting to the tax site.
This aid aims to help 10 million French workers who have no choice but to use their car in a professional environment. Presented as “subsequent discharge”, it derives from discounts at pumps that for nine months helped the price of fuel.
A more specific measure than discounts
The new allocation is a more specific measure. “The general discount helped to include the French who do not need their car to go to work, the French who have an income that allows them to absorb inflation,” Gabriel Attal recalled during a trip to Nice on Friday. .
“I prefer to help the liberal nurse who needs her Twingo to make her rounds than the very wealthy family who takes their SUV for something else,” the minister explained then.
The Delegate Minister of Public Accounts also indicated that this fuel check corresponded to “a bonus of 10 cents per liter of fuel based on an average of 12,000 kilometers traveled per year on business trips.”
