Fuel prices were fairly stable last week. On average in France, diesel was trading at 1.8846 euros per liter, a drop of 1.5 cents compared to the previous week, says the latest statement from the Ministry of Energy Transition stopped on Friday, January 13.
For its part, 95 E10 unleaded gasoline registered a slight rise of 0.2 cents, to 1.8365 euros per liter.
Therefore, diesel is still more expensive than gasoline, a situation that should continue for some time.
If we look at the price history, diesel has returned to its level at the end of November, a period in which reduced discounts of 10 cents were still applied by the State and 10 cents by Totalenergies.
For gasoline, since the end of the sales, the price has risen above 1.80 euros per liter, which has not happened since the end of July.
Although the price per barrel is currently relatively low, the question remains how prices at the pump will evolve in the coming weeks, in a still unstable geopolitical context.
This Monday, the Government gave the go-ahead to its aid of 100 euros for low-income workers. A device that replaces price discounts at the pump.
