+33% in 2022. If it falls short of Renault and Dacia in volume, Alpine has just completed a promising year. The third brand of the Renault group thus sold 3,546 vehicles last year. And a very positive point of these results: Alpine seduces more and more abroad.
Increase in sales outside of France
Although France remains by far its largest market, with 2,138 units in 2022, i.e. 60% of its sales, the brand highlights its strong growth in Germany (303 units, +42%), in the United Kingdom (288 units, +43%) or in Japan (238 units, +39%).
“Alpine continues its expansion in Europe with the launch of the brand in two new countries, Slovenia and the Czech Republic, and the arrival in Réunion with the first two points of sale on the island,” the brand underlines in a statement.
As part of its international development, Alpine also highlights the expansion of its network “with the opening of 40 new points of sale in 2022, bringing the total to 140 sites worldwide.”
An image reinforced abroad that is explained by a more marked presence in motorsports, “with a fourth place in F1 in the constructors’ world championship, (…) without forgetting the victories in Rally and the runner-up position in the world in Endurance. “.
Limited editions that are piling up
If the brand markets only one model, the new generation A110, it multiplied the limited series last year, the year of the 60th anniversary of the original berlinetta. All three (A110 GT J. Rédélé, A110 Tour de Corse 75 and A110 R F. Alonso) “found buyers in less than thirty minutes”.
Finally, the A110R, “the most radical Alpine ever developed”, presented at the end of 2022, already has a full order book for the coming months.
Prochain défi de taille pour Alpine: disposer of a 100% electric range complete with five nouveaux modèles prévues d’ici à 2028: the future A110, a sportive version of the R5 and three SUVs (dont deux plutôt destinés à la Chine et aux USA).
Last November, Renault also mentioned the financial objectives of the Dieppe brand, which would be profitable in 2026, with 2,000 million euros of turnover and four times more in 2030.
