New car registrations in France increased by 14.77% in the annual rate in May, according to data released this Thursday by the Automotive Platform (PFA).
It registered 145,538 private vehicles in France last month, the PFA reported. May had 19 business days this year, up from 21 last year.
+18% for Renault, +6% for Stellantis
In the first five months of the year, the market registered an increase of 16.32% in one year, with 698,931 registrations.
New car registrations of the Stellantis group, in which the Peugeot, Citroën, DS and Opel brands stand out, increased by 6.45% last month compared to the previous year.
The Renault group (Renault, Dacia and Alpine brands) saw its registrations in France increase by 18.02% at an annual rate in May.
