The Aarok, a French ETI drone that is proposed as an alternative to the Reaper

The Aarok is the little surprise at the Le Bourget air show. Self-created by ETI Turgis & Gaillard, this multi-mission drone is designed for reconnaissance and strike missions. A performance that is both industrial and technological.

What is the link between the Aarok drone and the Caesar cannon? They were created with their own funds without waiting for notification from the arms administrations. The weapon has proven its worth in the field and the MALE (Medium Altitude Long Endurance Remotely Piloted Aircraft System) drone should not disappoint given the number of delegations that visited the Turgis & Gaillard stand to learn more about this prototype first unveiled at Le Bourget.

The little brother of the Eurodrone

Like the Caesar, it is not pure innovation, but architectural innovation. All elements exist but independently. They have been assembled to create a device that is easy to produce at an affordable cost. The result: a device 22 meters wide and 14 meters long, capable of flying for 30 hours at a speed of 250 knots.

It is piloted from a cockpit, like the Reaper, which is capable of managing 3 vectors. This cockpit already exists, it is that of the Patroller, Safran’s drone.

The question of production remains. Turgis & Gaillard has nine production sites in France.
