A possible referral to criminal justice

The Parisian investigating judge issued this arrest warrant in April, after Carlos Ghosn failed to appear for his summons for prosecution on May 19, 2022 for corruption in particular. Dubious amounts paid to Rachida Dati

In this case, the suspicions refer to the 900,000 euros paid to Rachida Dati by RNBV, the Dutch subsidiary of the Renault-Nissan alliance, when Carlos Ghosn was the CEO. Rachida Dati received these fees as a lawyer between 2010 and 2012 when she was also a member of the European Parliament at the time. She has been on trial since July 2021 for “corruption and passive influence peddling by a person who holds elective public office.”

The Justice seeks in particular to know if their income corresponds to specific activities or if it was a convenience job having been able to mask lobbying in the European Parliament, prohibited for MEPs.
