Medef: Dominique Carlac’h calls to “think together” with Patrick Martin

If she insists on the need to leave time for Patrick Martin, Dominique Carlac’h is already open to thinking together with the new president of Medef.

Credited with 27% of the votes in the race for the Medef presidency, Dominique Carlac’h reacted to the BFM Business microphone a few hours after the publication of the results. She said she felt “very proud of this campaign” and of having “embodied this plurality of business discourse”, recalling that the electoral college had doubled.

Among the factors that could have cost him victory, he cites in particular “a very short campaign” while recalling that his teams have been busy “with 10 or 12 games a day.” “It’s extremely physically and psychologically demanding and I never weakened, he added. I said on the first day that I would go all the way.”

If she insists on the need to give time to Patrick Martin, recently elected head of the employers’ association, she is already open to thinking together with the new president.

“Strengthen social dialogue at the beginning of this mandate”

Despite her defeat, Dominique Carlac’h highlights a progression in the image of women within the Medef. “20 years ago, it was exceptional to have been able to cast Laurence Parisot, she believes. When I ran 5 years ago, it was a singularity and still a struggle. Today, it’s obvious that a woman can do it.”

Asked by the assistant general secretary of Unsa Dominique Corona about the future social dialogue with the unions, Dominique Carlac’h insisted on the assumption of responsibilities by the different social interlocutors “to reach agreements and strengthen the social dialogue at the beginning of the mandate “.
