“In the month of July, youth unemployment fell in a chain (-0.3%) compared to the previous month and reached the second lowest value ever (27,609 young people registered in the IEFP), surpassed only by the value of July 2022, when the historic minimum of youth unemployment is reached,” the institute said in a statement today.
In turn, overall unemployment rose 2.4% from June to 284,330 people.
However, this is the second lowest value in the month in question since there was a record.
In July, long-term unemployment increased by 2.5% on the previous month, but fell by 13.5% on the same period of the previous year.
