Last July, the inter-union SNCF presented a national strike notice for this Tuesday, September 26.
The SNCF indicates this Monday that traffic will be “practically normal” this Tuesday on the network, but warns that “slight disturbances” may affect “certain lines or certain regions.”
Disturbances on the RER in Ile-de-France
As in Ile-de-France with:
- 1 in every 3 trains on RER line C,
- 2 trains out of 3 on line D,
- 4 trains out of 5 on line E,
- 3 trains of 4 on the N line,
- 9 trains out of 10 on line P.
Travelers on “some TGV Inoui, Ouigo or Intercités” affected by the disruptions “have already been individually notified to be able to benefit from a postponement or a free refund,” SNCF-Viajeros said in a statement to AFP.
A strike against the “liquidation of SNCF Freight”
in a brochureThe inter-union stresses that “since the beginning of the year, the railway workers, in a historic union unit, have been fighting against the Government’s attacks on our pensions. They have no intention of bowing their heads at a time when the management of the SNCF is accelerating the privatization of all activities and the dissolution of the group.
“In the first line we find the desire of the Government and the company to liquidate fret SNCF with a “discontinuity” plane. “This scandal, in the midst of an ecological crisis, was launched with force and premeditation,” he continues.
