Budget 2024: sick leave may no longer exceed three days in the case of teleconsultation

Article 28 of the social security financing bill specifies that the prescription of a longer leave will require a physical examination “to ensure that the state of health of the insured is not at risk of worsening.”

This is an important measure that is part of the strategy to control the relevance of sick leave expenses. Article 28 of the social security financing bill aims to regulate certain consultation practices. It will no longer be possible to benefit from a work stoppage of more than three days. Beyond this duration, the prescription of a work stoppage will require a physical examination to “ensure that the insured’s health condition is not likely to worsen.”
