The Economy Minister indicated that the government had given up on the idea of a tax on airline tickets.

In fact, the government has given up creating a tax on airline tickets. Bruno Le Maire confirmed it this Wednesday, after the presentation of the 2024 finance bill in the Council of Ministers: “There will be no taxes on plane tickets,” the minister certified.

On the other hand, the Government plans to introduce next year a new tax on motorway concessions and large airports, which should provide 600 million euros per year.
