How long will the galley continue for motorists looking for fuel? This Sunday, around 30% of stations were sold out in France, according to the government, but with a particularly tense situation in Hauts-de-France and Ile-de-France, with almost one in two stations without at least one fuel
Two TotalEnergies refineries remain closed
“In France, TotalEnergies has three refineries. One, in Normandy, is stopped by the social movement, the one in Donge (Loire-Atlantique) works normally and the last one is stopped for previous technical reasons,” Jean-Marc summarized this Monday. Durand, Director of Refining Europe of TotalEnergies, on the air of BFMTV.
Despite the authorization given to the tankers to be able to supply the stations this weekend, the measure obviously did not have much effect:
“The trend remains the same, even a little more serious because the supply to service stations was very low this weekend. Many are out of stock. The few tanker trucks that came out distributed the stations. I hope that this afternoon the situation will be a little better”, explained Francis Pousse, president of the fuel branch of the Mobilians union.
“A great week to get back to normal”
While this weekend Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne said she was quite optimistic “about the positive development of the situation during the week, it would actually take a little longer for a real return to normal,” says Jean-Marc Durand from Total Energies:
“We are doing everything possible to supply the French. We are mobilizing the entire logistics chain. There are block points tied to the current move, but we’re trying to get around them as much as possible. We want the situation to unblock. enough to facilitate restocking and, in this context, it takes a big week to get back to normal.”
