Michael Seban: With Devenez, the Fitec group is doing a reskilling: a recycling that takes into account the previous skills of the candidate. We support companies and candidates to broaden the spectrum of people who can be hired in the IT world, which is developing strongly and experiences a shortage of skills. Our formula includes training and guaranteed employment with an indefinite contract, thanks to recruitment companies such as Infodis. We started in 2004 and have trained around 20,000 people, with a return to work rate of 97%.
What is the place of Infodis in this process?
Stephane Clemente: Infodis is an ESN that provides IT infrastructure services and support for IT users. We have a significant shortage of resources, which adds to another problem: our resources have often not kept up with the level of technological transformations. We started this program almost two years ago and have already trained 110 employees with Fitec, in positions such as IT help desk technicians, but also IT administrators. The advantage of reconversion is being able to move up to an engineer level, thanks to the selection of candidates with a certain level.
What are the advantages of this model for apprentices and employers?
MS: We work with Pôle Emploi, which finances this project and offers us candidates. With us they have the opportunity to acquire a new job and are selected by the company with the promise of permanent employment, as long as they complete the training. They are embedded in a growing company, so they have long-term employment. And then they gain employability, as their skills and certifications are valid in the rest of the market.
CS: For companies, the great advantage is that we create tailored training. This takes place over 3 months full-time, i.e. 400 hours of training in the latest technologies. Thus, the candidates are operational from their first day with us. They are happy that they made it to the end and therefore are more engaged and productive. We hire people with no previous experience in our field, so they are in the lower salary bracket. So our role is to develop them in one or two years.
The world of ESN experiences a high turnover, and in this collaboration with Fitec, we have very few opportunities, because the employees develop a team and company spirit during the training.
