The “Renaulution” continues. The French automobile brand Renault announces eight new vehicles outside Europe between now and the end of the year until 2027 with an investment of 3 billion euros.
The Diamond brand took advantage of this strategic announcement to present the first of these eight new models, a compact B-segment SUV called Kardian, which will be marketed starting in 2024 in Latin America and Morocco.
Position yourself at the top of the range
At the center of this plan, two platforms will be launched. The first, “with an adjustable and flexible architecture” to be able to adapt it to an entire “spectrum of vehicles”, will be available in Latin America, Turkey, Morocco and India.
The second, the CMA platform resulting from the partnership signed in 2022 with the Chinese group Geely, will be intended for “high-end” vehicles in the D and E segments, designed and manufactured in South Korea.
Renault claims to generate 43% of its sales outside Europe. Among its ten largest markets are Brazil, Turkey, India, South Korea and Colombia.
On the financial side, the manufacturer “will aim for unit turnover per vehicle sold outside Europe multiplied by two compared to 2019,” it states in its statement.
To achieve this objective, which is part of the “Renaulution” strategy of moving up the range, the brand has decided on vehicles in the C and D segments, compact and family, “the segments that create the most value.”
