SNCF traffic very disturbed between Dijon and Paris until Wednesday morning

Due to the “cable theft”, traffic between Paris and Dijon was completely interrupted this Tuesday morning and will remain very disrupted until Wednesday.

SNCF traffic will be greatly disrupted between Dijon and Paris until Wednesday morning following a cable theft, SNCF reported on Tuesday. Railway traffic was completely interrupted at 06:00 between Dijon and Laroche-Migennes (Yonne), after “cable thefts near Aisy”, in the same department, the SNCF indicated on its website. As a result, rail traffic is “strongly disrupted”, acknowledges the SNCF.

As for the TGV, connections between Paris and Dijon are diverted towards Mâcon, in the south, to return north and then head to Dijon, causing a delay of around 1h30. The TGVs on the Belfort-Besançon-Dijon-Paris line are also affected, as well as those going to and from Switzerland.

There is no TER between Dijon and Laroche-Mignennes

For TER regional trains, “it is currently impossible to travel between Dijon and Laroche-Migennes in both directions of movement, until tomorrow (Wednesday) morning”, indicates the railway company. Therefore, TER trains run between Paris and Laroche-Migennes, on the one hand, and Les Laumes and Dijon, on the other, but are interrupted between Laroche-Migennes and Dijon, where replacement buses have been installed. “Our facilities are seriously degraded,” the company specifies.

Interested travelers should receive an email and/or SMS, according to the SNCF. “Our teams are intervening, but the repairs will take a long time,” adds the railway company.
