Some 44,200 homes were still without electricity on Tuesday night in Normandy and Brittany after the passage of storm Ciaran, announced the person in charge of the distribution network, Enedis.
At 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, electricity was restored to more than 1.1 million customers affected by storm Ciaran that devastated France on Wednesday and Thursday, that is, 96% of affected homes, Enedis indicated in a press release.
Five hundred generators were transported and distributed to the affected areas and as many repair kits to the repair sites, he said. 8,000 poles have been ordered and transported, while 30 helicopters have been mobilized, as well as drones, Enedis detailed. 800 dedicated customer advisors, including 400 as backup, respond to customer calls related to the storm.
Regarding the Domingos storm that hit France between Saturday and Sunday, on Tuesday afternoon it was still necessary to resupply 5,700 homes, “mainly in Gironde and Charente Maritime”, according to Enedis.
