A “big” win. The SNPNC-FO union, which represents Ryanair flight attendants and flight attendants in France, shows its satisfaction after reaching an agreement with the company’s management. An agreement that follows a summer of slow strikes at the company, in France, but also in Spain.
For the union, this agreement obliges the low cost specialist “to comply with the law to put an end to certain illegal practices, the heart of the Ryanair system”.
At the center of the dispute, wages, working conditions but above all the situation of French employees in terms of their contracts. The SNPNC-FO thus stressed that French airline employees benefit from an employment contract under French law that protects them but “is nothing” at Ryanair. The agreement signed on October 12 puts an end to this situation.

Specifically, seafarers residing in France will have French contracts, “paying French taxes and social security contributions while benefiting from a high salary and a fixed schedule of five days of work and four days off for pilots, and five working days and three days off for cabin crew,” explains Ryanair.
The Irish company, which has long refused to change its contractual practices, believes that “this long-term agreement guarantees stability, salary improvements, future salary increases and other benefits for our cabin crew based in France, and is based in the collective agreement. already signed with SNPL for our French pilots. All Ryanair staff based in France are now covered by long-term collective agreements negotiated by the unions.”
But the union warns, emphasizing knowing “well” the management of Ryanair “and its practices.” That is why he expects “resistance” to apply this agreement…
